Christmas time is almost here❄️my friends and I decided to have an early celebration this year, and we picked Cubus 28.As you may know, Cubus 28 is located at the heart of Causeway Bay, and you could see the pretty view of HK Island from the restaurant!The appetizer was Pan-fried foie gras. The appetizer was Pan-fried foie gras. Unlike the usual foie gras, it came with Chinese fresh sour plum sauce instead of regular cranberry sauce, this combination made the dish quite interesting! The foie gras was moist in the inside and a little bit toasted on the outside, not greasy at all!
Then a dim sum was served. It was Siu Mai with sea urchin and salmon roe, not a common combo for siu mai! Surprisingly it was quite delicious with a hint of ur chu in natural sweetness.
There were 2 main courses that I would really wanna introduce. The first one was vegan bbq pork. It looked so real that you couldn’t distinguish it from the real cha siu. The outside was caramalized so it was quite crunchy, and the ‘meat’ was chewy and paired up well with honey sauce.
The second one was panfried Korean Hanwoo ribeye steak(韓牛肉眼). It was succulent and the flavor was strong. The quality of the steak was so good that it could melt in your mouth.
The dessert was Osmanthus & lime pudding with champagne. The lime flavor was intense so it made the floral and champagne flavors less flavorful, but it was still a decent dessert!
