The restaurant serves dim sum all day long. Menu in Chinese only. There is no English and no 10% service charge and tea charge. You order by checking off what you want on the menu and pay on your way out. The menu did have photos of what they deemed social media friendly dim sum. A bit odd to find a place that offered that but oh well ... we wanted something different. They also have traditional dim sum but we were curious so ordered from those items.

They also have dinner sets if you're not into dim sum. But it seemed everyone dining here was ordering dim sum so we followed.

Three Little Piggy Custard Bao ($39). Not only did they look adorable, but they were fluffy and so soft.

The center oozed out so well. And it was not grainy like other places that offered this same type of bao. It was also the right amount of sweetness.

Steamed Dim Sum Variety Platter ($78) for two. This included Blush Colored Har Gao, Beetroot Dumplings, Siu Mai with Abalone and Rose Bao. The har gao was excellent. The skin was thin and the amount of shrimp was big and firm. The beetroot dumplings were  filled with bits of mushroom and bamboo shoots giving it a nice crunchy texture inside. I didn't taste much beetroot. I assume it was used to color the  dumpling skin.

The siu mai was so big! But surprisingly of all, it was really good. The pork was fresh and firm. And inside was a mini abalone that actually tasted really savory. Usually many places that offer small abalone, they just taste like tasteless rubber. But not here. I was pretty impressed.

The rose bao were soft and fluffy rose shaped bao. But biting into it, I was surprised it was filled with a sweet red bean paste with a slight rose taste.

Goldfish Har Gao ($36). This is something that looked too pretty to eat. They actually looked like gold fish swimming in a pond. The flower was a bit of bok choy end. Very clever. The fish were filled with big pieces of shrimp. The broth had a light seafood taste.

Sweet Potato Stuffed Little Pig Deep Fried Dumplings ($39). The little pigs were nicely shaped. Very crisp and well seasoned. Not too oily as well.

But inside they were filled with a delicious sweet purple potato paste. Very smooth and creamy.

Fried Spring Roll Steamed Rice Rolls ($32). A different presentation of the classic steamed rice roll. The rice rolls were streaked with black squid ink, making them look like zebra prints. Inside was very crispy spring rolls filled with finely diced mushrooms. The spring rolls themselves were colored with spinach so all the coloring used was not artificial. This was really good. The rice roll was smooth and soft, contrasting nicely against the crunch of the spring rolls. All with a umami filling.

Deep Fried Sweet Potato Dumplings ($32). These dumplings were shaped like purple sweet potato. But the surprise was inside.

The center was a paste made from Japanese sweet potato, mimicking an actual Japanese sweet potato. The filling was sweet and creamy. The outside was crunchy. Boyfriend thought this was the best thing he's had all evening.

Coconut Pudding Mahjong Pieces ($10 each). We still had room for dessert so ordered these cute little mahjong pieces. The top was a sweet coconut pudding while the bottom green part was made from pandan. It looked just like a mahjong piece!

Watermelon Pudding ($30). But this was my favorite. A watermelon pudding that looked exactly like  watermelon. The green was made from pandan leaves. The red part was from watermelon and the flesh could still be found. But the most clever of all? They recreated the seeds with chia seeds. This was refreshing and not too sweet. Simply brilliant.

We've had all day dim sum a lot. And many do offer cute dim sum but usually it's not that good. Always just ok but it looked cute. But this place was a true find. The dim sum not only wonderfully crafted, inventive and cute, but it tasted good as well. They didn't slack off on taste which is always the most important. No wonder it's so popular. A bit off the beaten track but definitely worth a detour.
