Long time no Korean food. This time our target restaurant was 小火焰韓式咖啡餐廳, a cafe in Kwun Tong. We came here for lunch on a weekday. Seating was reasonably comfortable with a disinfecting spray on each table.There were a lot of choices on their lunch menus, including curry, mixed rice, udon, cold noodles, soup fun si etc. There was no additional service charge. There were choices to add on for snacks or special drinks. A hot drink with quite a few choices was included in each lunch set.We had not

We had not had breakfast so that we ordered three lunch sets to share.

There were quite a few slices of grilled pork neck which were very crispy. The spicy sauce laid out on top made them spicy and appetising!

The tomato soup was very rich and healthy with real tomatoes, onions and bean sprouts topped by some seaweed and corn. The udon was very smooth and al dente. We were very impressed by this lunch set. Great value for money indeed.

There was an option to change the miso soup to pork bone and we were glad that we made this choice because the pork bone soup was very rich and yet free of oil! There were 5 big pieces of pork which were so crispy yet tender and rich in pork flavour! The fun si was very smooth too. There were quite some mushrooms of different types in the soup. There was a bowl of plain rice accompanying the set too. Another great value for money lunch set!
北寄貝水冷麵 (蘿蔔味湯底) at $68
It was so hot that we decided to order this cold soba. The portion of the cold soba was giant. There were 6 pieces of 北寄貝 which were reasonably fresh and not too thin. There were quite a lot of carrot, radish and cucumber shreds to make it such a healthy dish. The broth was said to be radish.
The drinks were not bad. Portion was big.

蜂蜜紅棗茶 had real sliced dates at the bottom and was not sweet at all. 蜂蜜柚子茶 was sweeter with a lot of real yuzu pieces at the bottom.
We were pretty content with the food quality especially the two hot soups. Prices were cheap and service was fast. It was a good place to sit for a while to chat too. Next time should try out their evil desserts
