Well, this place can satisfy all your wishes! This is the place where it serves Thai, Vietnamese and Indian cuisine, aside with alcohol options. After my third and recent visit on Mother's Day, I know I should write Mint and Basil a review. I have seated both indoors and outdoors. Their outdoor area is huge, with a large television and cozy sofas, you can enjoy chilling with friends over food! But as for today, I have reserved a table indoor as my mother prefers indoor area.

We ordered the following on the day and I was quite surprised with the quality of food. Their standards were quite good, yummy in the tummy. To start off the celebration, we ordered a few mocktails.

Mint and Green Applemonade

This Mint and Green Applemonade ($62) with it's obvious name description, I was actually attracted by the look of the glass to order, but the taste was superior enough! It's a combination of freshness and fruity, with green apple slides, green apple fresh juice, apple juice, lemon juice and sprite, topped with lots of mint leaves. It was so refreshing to have! With a sip, you felt like you were merging into a big green field! Highly recommended to anyone who loves a balance between mint and fruity.

One of the main dishes we ordered was Khaw Phad Subparod ($138), which in another word, pineapple fried rice. The potion wasn't just fulfilling and huge, it included lots of ingredients such as squids, crab meat, scallop and mussels! The rice was so goldenly yellow, not too moisture not too dry. Just perfect topped with chestnuts. My parents were so satisfied with this dish, and they told me this was by far, the best pineapple fried rice they ever had!

Phad Thai (With Chicken)

We also had Phad Thai (With Chicken) - $128
This is a MUST order anywhere we pop into a Thai restaurant. Full of seasoning and mixed nuts, the noodles was cooked perfectly and was served burning hot onto our table. Lots of thick chicken slices and the sauces they used in this dishes enhanced the flavor. Again, we cleaned the whole plate.

We had Mix Vegetable Curry ($108) as dad wanted Roti Canai ($35). The curry was full of scrumptious curry flavor, it was not too spicy and quite sweet, definitely suitable to anyone who were intimated by the spiciness in curry. Aside from rich in flavor, it had a creamy texture, melty and smooth mixed vegetables and sauce, was a perfect dip to the Roti Canai. Roti Canai came in three slices, it was cooked slightly too much, so the texture was a bit harder than usual. Problem solved if you dip into the curry.

My parents also ordered two drinks, my dad with the lime soda and my mum with the yellow sky cocktail.

The lime soda is too sour according to my dad, although isn't that's what lime soda should be? Or may be a good suggestion is that they can leave the lime for customers to adjust on their preferred taste. Meanwhile, "Yellow Sky" was a combination of pineapple, orange and lime juice with grenadine syrup. It is just a good balance according to my mum. Half sweet half sour, perfect to arise her appetite!

With all the past visits, I would like to write a compliment to the young, average built Indian young man who served us on Mother's Day. He was proactive, polite, friendly, fluent in English and Cantonese (And definitely Indian!), he had such great memories too, as we wanted to order our drinks for the first round but had a few issues, he came back after a while and still remembered the drinks we wanted to order! He is definitely a treasure asset to the restaurant!
