Genuine staff and owner. Place has major village vibe to it. Occasionally they local band performances and quiz nights. Originally I got attracted by their own brew, and I was surprised by how weirdly amazing it was. I always bring my friends there and usually what surprised them the most was how oddly it feels like an old British pub yet fused with a completely different local village laid-back vibe. Their selections of hand bump alcohol, e.g. Spitfire, Gwailo beer, are all highly recommended as the home-brew beer are not always available.
Food selections are wide, from kiddy dishes, steaks to your everyday pies. They also do a very good job catering the vegetarians and vegans. My girlfriend would certainly say that their vegetarian burger with chips are the best thing out of this place.
What feels the most homie at this place are the people. Often you will see the owners’ offsprings in the restaurant and regular locals. The owner always bring up his best smile and is genuinely kind to cater different people’s needs.
Despite prices being slightly higher, everything was done decently. Love this place and certainly will return to it.
