As soon as we were seated, a bowl of tortilla chips together with a dipping sauce was served to us at a price of $40+10% for two persons. You could get them refilled after finishing. The chips were slightly spicy and appetising while the dip was like some sort of Thousand Island dressing.
Although it was a pub, we went for two mains and one tapas to share rather than drinks.

The foie gras was served warm with a slightly crispy crust. It was quite thin and was not greasy at all. It was topped by some black caviar which was very fresh and crispy. There was quite a lot of crab meat on the other side of the oatmeal. The whole thing was bottomed by a slice of oatmeal cracker.

Portion was giant as there were 3 whole slices of beef cheeks which were braised so well that they were super tender! Great texture indeed. The beer sauce was tasty which was not so alcoholic and there was plentiful. The beef cheeks were bottomed by some mashed potato and accompanied by some salads, garlics and sweet peppers on the side.

The pork chop was very thick and it was not fully cooked at the very inside which remained a bit rosy. It was grilled with a slightly crispy crust and it was still juicy inside. The accompanying sauce, which seemed a little bit sweet, made it even less dry to eat. Not bad! Again, the pork chop was bottomed by some mashed potatoes and accompanied by some long French beans and salads.
Overall, we had quite a healthy dinner. Environment was a typical pub and I was surprised that the food was not bad, especially the braised beef cheeks.
With this trophy, it looks like it could be a good place for drinks too.
