Discovered by chance this beautiful new Italian "caffe" in Central, and came in for a morning coffee and danish. Tried to book a table for lunch, it was fully booked and the hostess kindly offered to arrange a late lunch table since the place is opened all-day. It  was very pleasant after the peak hour  to enjoy the Lobster Spaghettini pasta. Generous flavours, fine and comforting, good price for the quality in Central location. Discovered by chance this beautiful new Italian "caffe" in Central, and came in for a morning coffee and danish. 
Tried to book a table for lunch, it was fully booked and the hostess kindly offered to arrange a late lunch table since the place is opened all-day. It  was very pleasant after the peak hour  to enjoy the Lobster Spaghettini pasta. Generous flavours, fine and comforting, good price for the quality in Central location. Also had the Organic Garden Salad to start and it was fresh with mix of artichoke, bean and asparagus and the Chef came to explain the dressing uses homemade fig tree leaves essence, to have a light fruity and nutty taste. My son had the  Lamb, super tender and flavoursome, served with a eggplant chutney. 
Elegant atmosphere but not"stuffy", rather friendly and relaxed. Inspired from the caffes in Venice, tastefully decorated and modern.

Lunch for 2 at Bombana’s new restaurant. Nice decor. Love the plates. Interesting wine list. Went for a glass of Chardonnay. Yum.Manager recommended the set menu, esp the meat ragout fettuccine and red prawn linguine as pastas; and the half baby chicken as main. 2 choices of bread: sour dough and focaccia. 2 choices of bread: sour dough and focaccia. I agreed with Picky Eater that bread was the soul of a restaurant. Here, the bread was delicious: hot enough, crispy crust, soft in the middle. Olive oil was good too.

Shared the tomato soup and grilled octopus salad as appetizers. Octopus was grilled to perfection; tomatoes were sweet and juicy. Loved the crispy smoky sourdough.

Since the appetizers were on the small side, we were taken aback to see the massive fettuccine portion. Fettuccine was springy and reminded me of the Chinese 粗麵 from the wanton shops.

Roast half chicken was surprisingly good, fragrantly coated in chopped herbs; crispy skin, tender meat.

For dessert, shared the apple tart which came with vanilla IceCream. 2 thin slices in total; 1 slice each. (Reminded us of the pear tart at 81/2.)

Latte was good.
In summary: Recommended. Usual Bombana standard: yummy. Will def return to try other dishes on the a la Carte menu.
