Tonight I dated a friend from college for a short catch-up as we haven’t seen each other for ages due to the coronavirus. Since we both work in Central, I decided to meet up in this beautifully decorated bar which I found on Instagram recently. As a big fans of berry cocktail, the bartender introduced me the Mediterranean with raspberry juice and fresh blackberries merged with tea infused Bourbon. After a sip of it, I could just say berries never go wrong with whiskey! You won’t want to miss this delightful beverage on a summer night.

I guess this is one of the most signature cocktail here since nearly every table ordered it the night we visited. The drink is eye-catching with the decoration of roses and rosemary. The seared rosemary gave a refreshing herbal smell and it made a perfect match with the rose and lychee syrup. You will definitely fall in love with its beautiful array of flavors!

When it comes to Middle Eastern cuisine, I will immediately think of kebab (grilled meat dishes)! So we ordered the Chicken Shish Tawook. It consists of grilled chicken cubes marinated in yogurt, lemon and garlic, served with some salad and a bowl of vermicelli rice. Surprisingly, the chicken cubes are not strong tasting as I thought Lebanese food would be highly seasoned. Instead they are perfectly juicy and tender. The reason behind might be that yogurt is a good meat tenderizer. Lebanese rice basically consists of broken vermicelli pasta, rice and olive oil. It goes perfect with the tasty grilled chicken.

As a lamb lover, I also ordered the Lamb Okra Tajine which is made up of lamb chunks and Lady’s Fingers cooked in tomato sauce with assorted vegetables. It is also served with vermicelli rice. The long, slow simmering made the lamb so tender that it just melted in my mouth. Those Lady’s Fingers absorbed all onion, tomato and herbs flavors and it tasted so special.
My friend and I totally enjoyed the dining experience here tonight The waiters and waitresses were really nice that they recommended us dishes and made sure we appreciated the food. Would definitely come again in the not too distant future!
