I chose the bamboo version of the sashimi rice, which comes with 9 different types of sashimi. It’s great how there was more sashimi than rice, especially considering the affordable pricing. 根據佢地嘅食法 先將豉油連同wasabi同魚生飯夾埋一齊食 魚生嘅味道好鮮甜一啲都唔腥
之後再用紫菜包成手卷食 最後留低少少飯同埋作為前菜嘅胡麻醬魚生片叫師傅幫你整成茶漬飯
茶漬飯嘅湯比較清淡 會有少少柚子同蔥花 但係魚生整熟之後反而有啲腥 所以建議作為前菜嗰陣就食曬算

The store recommends that you tackle the sashimi rice in 3 different ways, starting with pouring in the wasabi and soy sauce into the rice and eating it along with the sashimi. With everything mixed together the flavours were extremely fresh and incredibly sweet.

After that, you can wrap the sashimi rice in the seaweed that they provide, and lastly you’re supposed to save a bit of rice so that it can be made into ochazuke along with the sesame sauce tuna slices starter dish.
However after it’s slightly cooked with the broth, the tuna slices became slightly fishy and so it would probably be better to just eat it all as a starter instead.

整體味道同質素都好有驚喜 價錢亦都合理 絕對會再返黎

Overall the flavours and the quality of the sashimi was quite impressive, definitely a place that I would love to come back to.

Signature Vanilla ($25)
招牌雲呢拿泡芙

啲泡芙雖然有啲細個 但係真係整到個皮又薄又脆 入面嘅忌廉有齊custard同cream兩層 好清晰見到雲呢拿籽 好香滑好creamy 仲要一啲都唔膩

The puffs were a bit small, but I love how thin and crispy the choux pastry is. The cream inside is duo layered - with both custard and a vanilla cream that’s filled with vanilla seeds. It’s incredibly creamy without being too sweet or heavy.

JOMO係一間比較隱蔽嘅cafe 如果唔係特登去搵都應該唔會留意到佢 入到去座位有限 如果多人應該會難啲搵位 
This cafe near HKU is quite hidden, it’s probably not somewhere you’ll stumble upon unless you’re looking for it specifically. Also note that it’s quite small, and so it’ll be tough to get seats if you have a big crew.


Earl Grey Chiffon Cake ($52) - 右下
chiffon cake好濕潤 食落質感軟綿綿 而且earlgrey嘅茶味好香濃 亦都同面頭嘅cream好夾
Their chiffon cakes are incredibly moist and fluffy. It feels so light in your mouth, especially when it’s paired with the cream dribbled on top. The earl grey flavour is also quite distinct, which is definitely a huge plus!


Matcha Roll Cake ($48) - 中間
抹茶roll cake嘅蛋糕一樣咁高質 中間嘅cream亦都唔太膩 如果抹茶味可以更多回甘咁就好喇
Similar to the chiffon cake, the roll cake also has a similar moist and fluffy texture. The amount of cream inside is just right, and it doesn’t feel too heavy. It would be better if the matcha was a bit stronger though.


Banana Caramel Cheesecake ($52) - 左下
banana cheesecake算係實身嘅cheesecake 芝士味濃郁得黎唔會太heavy 而且入面仲有香蕉嘅果肉 餅底仲係脆嘅 配上佢嘅焦糖香蕉一齊食好好味!
JOMO’s cheesecakes are a bit on the denser side, but it has a strong cheesy flavour without being too filling. The cheese portion also has bits of banana in it, which went well with the crunchy crust at the bottom.

雞白湯拉麵 ($138)


雞白湯打成泡沫之後極為creamy  好欣賞佢濃郁得黎一啲油膩感都冇 應該係我唯一食完同飲曬成碗湯都唔會有罪惡感嘅拉麵

慢煮嘅雞肉同豬肉都好嫩滑 相比起平時嘅叉燒比較清淡嘅慢煮肉同個湯底更加 亦都同炸到香口嘅炸牛蒡形成對比
麵條嘅粗幼度啱啱好 掛湯能力一流!

整體黎講應該係香港top3拉麵之一 絕對會想返黎再食


I love how the chicken soup here is made to be foamy like a cupicinno, it really does add an extra touch of creaminess to the rich and flavourful broth. It’s also great how the soup wasn’t oily at all - which makes it the only ramen that I can finish without feeling guilty.

The slow cooked chicken and pork slices were quite tender and juicy, and was definitely a better match for the creamy soup instead of the typical char siu. 

I would say that Zagin serves one of the best ramens in HK, definitely worth coming back for!

次男坊丼 ($88)

牛丼有兩種汁可以揀 次男坊燒肉汁就係辛口嘅 而經典牛角飯燒肉汁就應該偏甜 但係兩種都試過之後根本食唔出兩者嘅分別 

主角牛肉比一般嘅肥牛厚身少少 但係肉質偏韌有啲難咬  而且有幾塊都好多肥膏 好彩佢好夠味 可以彌補返肉質嘅不足

飯上面其實有啲紫菜碎同埋啲冇味嘅芽菜比你送飯食 但係因為唔夠汁撈飯所以去到最後都係食唔曬啲飯
整體感覺都係冇咩特別 試過一次就夠


There are two types of sauce that you can choose from for the beef don. One’s meant to be sweeter whereas the other is supposed to be spicy - however after tasting both versions I couldn’t tell the difference.

The beef in this don is thicker than the typical fatty beef that you get from places like Yoshinoya. However, this also made it quite difficult to chew, and the texture of the meat was relatively tough. A large portion of the beef was made up of fat as well. Luckily it was marinaded quite well and so the flavour makes up for the lack of tenderness.

There’s actually a pile of bean sprouts and some seaweed bits beneath the beef to go along with the rice, but since there wasn’t much sauce to go with, it was quite hard to finish the entire bowl.

Overall I would say that the quality and taste was average, probably won't go out of my way to come back here again.

蒲燒鰻魚飯 ($69)

鰻魚比我想像中厚身 而且竟然冇乜骨同唔算腥 
如果嫌佢鰻魚汁唔夠嘅話佢地會另外比一樽你自己再加
下面嘅蛋由於唔係滑蛋 所以冇乜存在感 只係一層薄薄地嘅蛋皮 其實可有可無
整體黎講絕對係以價錢取勝 可以一試

The eel was way thicker than I expected, and surprisingly there’s not much fish bones and and fishy aftertaste. I wish the egg beneath were scrambled eggs instead as that would probably complement the rice better, but right now it’s just a thin layer of cooked egg. If there’s not enough eel sauce to go with the rice they also provide an extra bottle for you to add more to your own bowl.
Overall great value for money - definitely worth visiting if you’re nearby.

大甲芋頭鮮奶 ($30)

芋頭味的確幾香濃 同奶味之間嘅平衡拿捏得幾好 但係飲落會有啲好硬嘅細芋頭粒 搞到口感有太大嘅反差 如果係比較軟身同粉啲嘅芋頭應該會融洽啲
另外甜度係冇得揀嘅 但係唔駛擔心味道會過甜
整體黎講我都係覺得迷客夏嘅芋頭奶最好飲


I quite like the balance between the milk and the taro puree, you can taste both flavours equally well when everything’s stirred together. However the taro wasn’t thoroughly mashed and so small bits of hard taro was mixed within the drink, which was too big of a contrast in texture. If it was in the form of softer chunks instead it would probably match the drink better. Overall I still think milksha makes the best taro milk, but this store offers a pretty good version too!

海老天丼包含咗海老，流心蛋，菜芯苗，茄子，蓮藕，同南瓜。整體黎講天婦羅嘅外皮都算薄 而且幾香脆😛 嚟個陣面頭有少少飯素 但係檯面有天婦羅汁提供 可以自己倒落啲天婦羅同啲飯到先食 咁就會冇咁快淋！特別鍾意佢嘅流心蛋 將入面嘅蛋汁連埋天婦羅汁同飯素撈飯食一流☺️ 蓮藕同菜心苗都幾好食 啲葉炸到好脆口👌🏻

This tempura donburi includes shrimp, soft boiled egg, choi sum, eggplant, lotus root, and pumpkin. Overall the tempura batter is quite thin and pretty crispy, so it didn’t feel like i was eating a bunch of flour. 😛 The donburi comes with a little bit of furikake, but the restaurant provides a tempura sauce for you to pour over your tempura and rice, which prevents the tempura from turning soggy! I really liked the runny egg as the yolk was a perfect match with the tempura sauce and rice. 💕

沙律淨芒班戟  呢個pancake應該好多人識😂每次經過就會想食  平時個pancake會好有蛋香 咬落要少少煙韌嘅感覺 同滿瀉嘅芒果同埋沙律醬係絕配💕  可惜今次我覺得佢退步咗 pancake嘅口感粉咗 少咗啲煙韌嘅感覺 希望只係我唔好彩 係一次性嘅退步喇☹️

Everytime I pass by this mango pancake shop from hung hom I get tempted to get one.  Usually the pancake is very “eggy” and fragrant, and as you bite into it there’s a slight chewiness. Not to mention how the sweet mangoes, mayonnaise, and the chewy pancake goes very well together💕
Unfortunately this time around the texture of the pancake got more cakey and less chewy, hopefully it’s just a one time thing💔

炒牛肉麵 ($27)
Fried Beef with Noodles
個人覺得永順嘅沙爹牛肉雖然香濃但係醬嘅份量過多 而牛肉本身亦都唔係特別出色 我反而鍾意食呢個炒牛肉麵 以前menu上面冇㗎要特別要求先有得食😂 每塊牛肉都炒到好香口 肉質更有彈性而份量亦都唔少 唯一嘅缺點就係會油膩啲

The satay beef noodles that this shop is famous has too much satay sauce in it, and so it’s a bit too rich for my liking😕 However I really like their fried beed noodles, the beef is seared perfectly, giving it additional flavour. The texture of the meat is tender and yet not overly soft to the point that you barely have to chew. The only critique I have is that it’s a bit oily, but as long you only eat it once in a while it’s all good!☺️
西多士 ($14)
French Toast
食得西多士就預咗會好油膩好肥 基本上成隻碟都係油😂 上面嘅牛油都比得幾慷慨 可以好均勻咁塗滿成塊西多 我地亦都特別要求糖漿另上 咁就可以調教到自己鍾意嘅甜度👌🏻 兩塊麵包夾埋都有咁上下厚度 食落更加fluffy更加鬆軟 呢個價錢黎講我覺得好抵食💕

They really did dump butter on the french toast as if it was free😂 There was so much that the entire french toast can be soaked in butter. We also requested to have the syrup on the side, so that we can adjust the sweetness to our liking😊 I appreciate how the french toast wasn’t too thin, which helps give it that fluffy and light texture. Definitely a guilty pleasure that’s worth trying!
